About SASFA

Two Nebraska farmers with 50+ years of combined experience, working to bridge American agricultural innovation and African farming communities.

Our Mission

To foster the adoption of modern, sustainable technologies and methods that reduce environmental impact while improving yields and livelihoods in African farming communities.

Our Vision

A future where African agriculture thrives through the widespread adoption of innovative and sustainable technologies, ensuring increased productivity, environmental preservation, and improved livelihoods for all farming communities.

Our Story

SASFA was founded by Jay Reiners and Brandon Hunnicutt — two Nebraska farmers who saw an opportunity to share decades of agricultural knowledge and technology with the communities that could benefit most. Having managed some of the most productive farmland in the world, they recognized that the innovations transforming American agriculture could have an even greater impact in Africa.

That recognition turned into action. Brandon serves as team lead for the U.S. Grains Council Middle East/Africa Team. Jay serves as the Council’s Secretary/Treasurer. Both have engaged directly with African farmers, including a U.S. farmers’ delegation visit to Ghana focused on corn production collaboration. What began as a shared vision between two friends has become a dedicated consulting practice focused on bridging the gap between cutting-edge agricultural technology and the communities that need it most.
